In the Shadow of Paradise is an exhibition bringing together work by three contemporary artists with roots in Scarborough, presented as part of Myseum Intersections, an annual festival of exhibits and events showcasing different perspectives of the city’s natural, culture, and historic diversity. The exhibition featured a series of 30 new photographs by Anique Jordan; a selection of three video works by Deirdre Logue, from the series Why Always Instead of Just Sometimes; and Annie Onyi Cheung’s cable knots. The opening reception included a participatory performance by Cheung, where visitors were invited to bring their old electronics cables and engage in a collective knot tying process with the artist.
